How It Works: The Three-Step Method

We utilise a scaffolded approach that ensures every student can succeed and feel a sense of accomplishment.

• Round 1: The Immersion Phase

  • Action: You read the text at a normal German speaking speed.

  • Goal: Students simply listen. This builds comfort with the rhythm, intonation, and flow of the language without the pressure of note-taking.

• Round 2: The Logic Phase

  • Action: You read the text again. Students listen specifically for keywords that correspond to images on their worksheet.

  • Goal: As they hear the words in sequence, they use a ruler to draw lines connecting the images. This physical act helps bridge the gap between auditory input and visual association.

• Round 3: The Verification Phase

  • Action: You read the text a final time.

  • Goal: Students follow their lines to check their work for accuracy. By the end, the lines will form a clearly recognisable shape.
