German Colours | Loop Cards
Loop cards transform vocabulary practice into an interactive whole-class activity.
One student reads their card aloud: "Wer hat rot?" The student holding the matching answer card responds: "Ich habe rot. Wer hat blau?" The chain continues until the loop closes, returning to the student with the ending card. This format builds listening and translation skills in real time.
Students must actively listen to their classmates, process the German question, locate their answer, and respond confidently in the target language. There's no hiding, every student stays engaged, waiting for their turn and tracking the flow of the game.
The defined start and end point keeps the activity structured and ensures all students participate. It's ideal for building fluency, reinforcing colour vocabulary, and creating a dynamic, collaborative learning environment where speaking and listening happen naturally.
